What have we achieved?

Since the Chamber was formed in 2001 it has been determined to establish itself as one of the principal voices on all key, local committees controlling our economic future. This has been achieved very successfully. The Chamber has earned the respect, confidence and trust so essential if it is to deliver and derive full benefit from the significant influence that it now holds. Widely acknowledged as one of the lead voices on all local business and economic issues, the Chamber is determined to continue its rigorous representation wherever needed to ensure that the interests of its membership are voiced, understood and protected.

Since its establishment, the Chamber has played a pivotal role in local issues. Whether it be the eagerly awaited arrival of Tesco's superstore in Tidworth, the redevelopment of Station Road, encouraging the MOD to release suitable land for essential civilian housing, or leading on the highly successful development of office and light industrial units at the Castledown Business Centre, the Chamber is central to decision making and determined to move things along. As a member of the South Wiltshire Economic Partnership, the Wessex Association of Chambers of Commerce, and responsible for driving the Tidworth Area Awareness Project, the Chamber continues to use every opportunity to leverage further economic support for the area.
