Founded in 2002, Tidworth and District Chamber of Commerce is a comparatively new organisation when compared to other Wiltshire based chambers.  We have around 50 members which provides sufficient critical mass to allow the Committee to represent its membership in the confidence that its voice will be heard and taken seriously.  The Chamber is represented at Chair or Member level on no fewer than 13 committees that have real clout in making local policy decisions.  Details of these committees can be found in the Key Initiatives section. 

We asked our members what they wanted their Committee to do for them.  They said:

• Represent our needs and our views - bring these to the attention of those who shape the environment in which we have to trade.
• Influence or lobby local and County policy-makers - persuade them to make their plans having first fully considered our views based on our knowledge, experience and sector expertise.
• Keep us in touch with decisions and developments that affect our businesses.

The Chamber is led and run by local business owners, directors and managers for the benefit of its membership and local businesses.  It will provide:

• The voice for business in the South East Wiltshire Area
• Robust representation on committees that plan our future
• Every effort to continually improve the local trading environment
• Greater awareness of the conditions required to increase business growth
• Business education, networking and social opportunities through events organised throughout the year
